I was an early YouTube star who was later recruited by YouTube to help build out their creator education department. During 10 years on the inside, I helped write the book on content strategy, in such roles as Lead Content Strategist, Manager of Creative Insights, Head Producer for the Creators channel, and Global Creator Liaison.
I’m proud to say my teachings have scaled to tens of millions of creators.
Upon leaving YouTube & Google, I founded Creator Dynamics, a consulting firm that helps companies and organizations grow their YouTube channels using creator-based strategies.
It’s not just me, though! I lead a small team of highly specialized, genre-specific YouTube strategists. Together, we leverage our deep expertise to help you launch or rejuvenate your channel.
Not over-indexing on homegrown creators, Matt was also a head instructor for YouTube’s exclusive Brand Partner Program, advising marketing execs from the likes of Starbucks, Mastercard, and Johnson & Johnson among others.
In his last chapter at YouTube, Matt developed the role and became the company’s very first Creator Liaison – an official, public representative of the 50M+ creator community. He held it for two years before passing the torch to creator Rene Ritchie.
